Social-Emotional Wellness
The preschool program provides comprehensive supports for social-emotional wellness, including counseling services, mindfulness practices and community-building activities to ensure every student feels valued and supported.
Ludlow Renovation
The Ludlow building in Shaker Heights will serve as a dedicated space for early learning, providing a nurturing and educational environment for the district's youngest students. Designed to support the developmental needs of preschool and early elementary children, it will play a crucial role in fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Tiffani Maher has been selected as the next principal of the Ludlow Early Learning Center. She will begin her new role on August 1.
At their Tuesday, April 14 meeting, the Shaker Heights Board of Education approved revisions to the 2026-2027 academic calendar.
New Ohio law requires students to be 5 years old on or before the first day of school to be eligible for kindergarten. The District's first day for the 2026-2027 school year is August 18, 2026.
